Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Vulcans rubber watch straps manufactured?
Vulcan Watch Straps are designed, manufactured and assembled in London, alongside some of the most renowned rubber manufacturers in the world (but it’s all very hush hush). Our engineers ensure that even the minutest details are given the greatest attention and, by using the highest quality UK aerospace M1 tooling, we secure the tightest tolerances and best finishes. Ultimately, our team guarantee that comfort and style are always met in equal measure.
How do I know if the straps will fit my wrist?
Vulcan Watch Straps have been engineered to suit wrists of all shapes and sizes between 16.5cm to 21cm. And if you’re not entirely sure what your measurements are don’t worry! We’ve created a useful wristband sizing tool to ensure you get the best fit possible.
What kind of rubber are Vulcan Watch Straps made from?
Vulcan Watch Straps are superior to anything else on the market. The basic components of our rubber materials are the same as those used in the medical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries across the world.
But, at Vulcan, we go one step further. Our engineers have developed a unique blend of vulcanised rubber, removing impurities, and thus creating straps that are friendly for even the most sensitive of skins. Whatsmore, the bands have been reinforced in certain sections to ensure that they can withstand any environment on earth. So, whether you’re exploring sweltering desserts or freezing ice-caps, our rubber straps will remain comfortable and robust throughout.
What is the warranty period?
Every Vulcan Watch Strap is checked and quality controlled to ensure that it is of the highest quality. Our confidence in our product means we can offer a 12-month warranty on all products, which is automatically activated on your date of purchase.
A warranty card will arrive with the strap. You’ll just need to fill out the details and store the card in a safe place. For more information on our policies please click here.
Will Vulcan Watch Straps fit all luxury watches?
Currently our straps have been designed solely for Rolex watches and, whilst customising your band, you’ll be asked to specify exactly which model it is for. This is because each and every one of our straps are tailored to their counterpart watch faces. From the Rolex Submariner to the Rolex Daytona, our engineers have carefully designed all of the metallic integration within the straps to ensure they fit snugly alongside the models they’re intended for.
We do not advise trying to attach our straps to watches they’re not designed for: you may risk damaging the band and invalidating your warranty. And, if we don’t currently cater to your watch model, fear not! There are plenty of exciting things in the pipeline…
How long will it take to receive my order?
All Vulcan Watch Straps are dispatched on the same day (if ordered before 5pm). Our products are shipped via DHL: simply choose your preferred delivery method at check-out and let the waiting game commence! With everything from ‘standard’ to ‘tracked next-day’ the choice really is in your hands. Moreover, once you’ve ordered through the Vulcan website, you’ll receive a tracking code which will enable you to follow the progress of your customised rubber strap. Just remember: good things come to those who wait.
Can Vulcan accommodate special requests?
At Vulcan we’re always happy to go above and beyond for our clients. If you have a special request then we will always do our upmost to try and accommodate it. And, whilst it’s unlikely that we can get David Beckham to deliver your watch strap, our unrivalled client service team will always go out of their way to make your experience with Vulcan as special as possible.
If you do have any special requests please add a note to your order during checkout or send us an email at hello@vulcanwatchstraps.com.
Can I sell Vulcan products on Amazon or other generic auction or sale sites?
Each Vulcan watch strap is a luxury product with a corresponding luxury customer experience. Therefore, we do not permit re-sale of our rubber straps on Amazon or any other auction sites. All affiliated retailers are vetted beforehand to ensure they meet the high standards we pride ourselves on.
Additionally, we have carefully selected one retailer in every major town/city around the world. These stores have, in a similar manner, undergone rigorous checks to ensure that client service is at the heart of everything they do.
Are your 18k buckles solid gold or gold plated?
At Vulcan Watch Straps we use luxury, high quality materials in every part of our product. And the buckles are no exception. If you choose the 18k gold buckle it will be a solid gold buckle (with either a brushed or polished finish). In other words, it’s 100% the real deal: a buckle that’s been designed to stand the test of time.
Are Vulcan Watch Straps endorsed by, or do they work in partnership with, any Swiss watch manufacturers?
Vulcan Watch Straps have been designed as an aftermarket product. Therefore, we are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of the watch watchmakers we manufacture straps for.

What colours do you offer?
We wish to give our clients a means to uniquely express their style and, therefore, have an array of colours to choose from. Our base colours include Ice White, Sunset Orange, Emerald Green, Stone Grey, Azure Blue, Crimson Red and Onyx Black. With such choice the world really is your Rolex Oyster!
And the customisation doesn’t stop there. The same colours can be used in a mix-and-match style for the retaining loop, so whether your style is loud and proud or subtle and sophisticated, we’ve got something for you.

Do you manufacture straps for Audermars Piguet, Tudor, Patek Phillipe and Panerai?
We currently only manufacture straps for Rolex models but are looking to develop straps for a number of luxury watchmakers. Nevertheless, given the precision and thought that goes into designing each band, it’s a process that can take quite some time.
Next on the Vulcan agenda is the deployment strap for Rolex and a buckle strap for the Tudor Black Bay Heritage. If you have a particular request please let us know and (if the demand is there) we will try to move that particular design up the list.
As the saying goes: “Through patience great things are accomplished”.
Do I need an account to shop?
You do not require an account to shop on the Vulcan website.
However, if you do register for an account and sign up to our mailing list, it helps us to better tailor our communications (and thus improve your experience with us). It also saves time during the check-out process when it comes to the “not-so-exciting-stuff” like completing your name and address.
Nevertheless, signing up is not a mandatory. It all comes down to personal preference and how you feel most comfortable shopping with Vulcan.
How can I get in touch?

Can we buy the strap loop retainers separately?
Once you have purchased your Vulcan Watch Strap you’ll have a ‘base colour’. However, we understand that styles change so if you want to keep the base, but change the strap loop retainer, it’s easy to do.
Altering the strap loop retainer gives you the ability to match your timepiece to different outfits/ occasions. Here at Vulcan we think the Azure Blue base with a Stone Grey loop is perfect for those wintery months.
Can I purchase Vulcan Watch Straps locally in the country I live in?
We have authorised retailers in towns/cities across the world, a list of which can be found here.
We have worked hard to ensure these retailers meet our high standards so do let us know how you found your local shopping experience.
Do you ship Vulcan Watch Straps worldwide?
We ship far and wide across the globe. Moreover, we always love to see where the Vulcan love has spread to, so be sure to tag us in any social media posts. All shipments are made through DHL and we aim to keep our stock as full as possible so that we can dispatch your order on the same day (if placed before 12pm). That’s style with speed!
Do you offer a Vulcan strap that utilises the deployment clasp my Rolex came with?
We are currently developing a strap that will work alongside the Rolex deployment clasp. Please bare in mind that all of our new products take time to finesse: from the initial conceptual stages to the latter manufacturing stages (where we implement aerospace grade tooling). This time is important to ensure that Vulcan continue to engineer goods that are superior to anything else on the market.
If you’d like to stay up-to-date with our new products please sign up to our mailing list here. Alternatively, if you have any requests we’d love to hear from you at hello@vulcanwatchstraps.com.
How do I install my new Vulcan strap to my watch?
Our customisable straps are designed to be easily interchangeable because we understand that, when it comes to luxury, there shouldn’t be any obstacles. All you’ll require is a basic set of tools. We recommend using the Vulcan tool kit and cleaning cloth, both of which are available here.
